Living with insulin resistance can feel like a constant battle with your blood sugar, confusion, and trying to figure out what you should be doing, but what if you could turn the tables? As a type 2 diabetic, there are things you know and things you should know. As for the things you know, you know it’s confusing – no idea why your blood sugars do the crazy things they do. You know that the same meal, two days in a row, can give you very different readings. You know that getting clear and consistent help is nearly impossible – everyone gives you different answers to the same questions! The list goes on and it’s very stressful!
As for things you should know, your doctor most likely told you that you will have to take medication for the rest of your life. “Just take the medication and keep your blood sugar within this range and everything will be ok.” But that is not true. Doing this doesn’t reduce your risk for long term complications. In fact, it makes things worse in the long run – you will have to take more meds or stronger doses of your current meds. That certainly doesn’t sound like “everything will be ok” to me.

- On day 1, I cover the following in the live video: I get you oriented to our online community, your member profile, getting the most out of the challenge and end by going over the dietary recommendations.
- Live Videos. I will be hosting a live video nearly every day of the challenge. Below is a screenshot of the live video schedule for the first three weeks. The entire first half of the challenge is focused on food and dietary recommendations, while the remaining three weeks discuss exercise, sleep and stress. Mixed in strategically, there are live videos on important topics as they relate to type 2 diabetes.

Keep in mind this is only the first half of the challenge and for all of the live videos, there is reading material, worksheets, downloads and more. All of this is designed to help YOU get better control of your blood sugar.
The last thing I will mention regarding the challenge is the online community. This is where you will find everything – the videos, material, worksheets, and, importantly, the other members. You are joining a unique online community! We are all in the same boat and we are here to help, support and encourage each other. I also want to make clear: You will feel safe and comfortable asking for help! The bullying and nastiness you see (and may have experienced elsewhere) in many of these online communities is not allowed and will not be tolerated.

The overall objective of this challenge is to help you improve insulin sensitivity so you can control your blood sugar. The recommendations help you do this, starting on Day 1. Following the guidelines, you will quickly see improvements in your blood sugar. The spikes won’t be so high after meals and they will begin to stabilize. You will be less hungry, which is amazing because so many struggle with hunger and cravings. The table below shows feedback from members after following the recommendations for one month.

FAQ’s
Do I have to attend all of the Live Videos? No. While I think the live videos are important, there are 36 of them, I understand that attending all of them will be difficult for people. That’s why you can watch the replay of any live video right in our community.
Do I have to be type 2 diabetic to enroll? Nope. Insulin resistance is typically associated with those that already have type 2 diabetes. But…there are others that will benefit. For example, those with pre-diabetes, high blood pressure and other chronic conditions already have a significant degree of insulin resistance. So this challenge will help them. Others, for example those with a family history of type 2 diabetes and individuals that are overweight also have insulin resistance that can be helped with this challenge.
